We couldn't think of a better way to add some green on St. Patrick's Day than adding this superfood.

I don't know about you but spirulina is one of those healthy superfoods that I ideally have in my diet but end up avoiding because it's just not very, well...yummy. While we're all about health here at clean to the core, flavor isn't something we're willing to sacrifice, hence our tagline, "Life should be yummy!" Just because spirulina has such a, um..unique flavor...I didn't want that to stop me from getting this amazing superfood into my family's diet. While I can manage to chug it down in juice, my kids weren't too keen about the idea. So I started testing things out and finally came up with these spirulina bites. My kids love them and always want me to make more. Yay! *happy dance* These are a great power snack for that awkward middle of the afternoon time and great to take on the go, making them perfect to add to lunch boxes. We've tried them at room temperature, in the fridge and in the freezer. All of them are great. My kids usually end up eating them right away but my husband and I liked them at room temperature and in the freezer. As a bonus they're the perfect green snack to make for St. Patrick's Day!
