Pesto Sauce

Here's our pesto to finish off this month's green recipe series! Goes great with grilled chicken or raw veggies for a quick and savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley¬†
  • 1/2 – 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup raw macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 whole cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
  • Pinch of dried oregano
  • Sea salt/pepper to taste

Steps

  • Combine all ingredients in food processor, blend until smooth
  • Store in airtight container in fridge for up to 5-6 days
