Fried Apples

A sweet addition to breakfast in bed for your sweetheart.
Coconut Free
Corn Free
Dairy Free
Egg Free
Gluten Free
Soy Free


  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1/4 cup duck fat, butter or coconut oil
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup, grade B
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)


  • Put duck fat, butter or lard in large skillet
  • Mix apples, maple syrup, cinnamon, sea salt and walnuts together in mixing bowl
  • Once the oil is hot enough (it should be shimmering) carefully pour apple mixout in┬áthe mixing bowl into the skillet
  • Leave in for 3 – 5 minutes
  • Flip and leave for another 2 minutes, they shouldn’t be too mushy
  • Serve immediately
