Flower Salad

I'd been wanting to try edible flowers for the longest time. I finally saw a pack of them at Whole Foods and grabbed them. Well...I wish I could tell you it was a magical moment, and unless it was just the type of flower they kinda taste how you'd expect a flower to taste. But they weren't bad. I guess I had just thought of them as some magical fairy food or something. But I'd totally believe it if anyone told me that it was just the type of flower. However, they make a salad looks SO pretty! And so therefore I'm totally into them. Maybe not for the everyday salad but it's fun to use them to dress up a salad at a special lunch of dinner. Or hey if you just feel like feeling like a fairy that day, which is everyday for my girls, so no judgements here!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups spring salad mix
  • 1/4 pears, sliced
  • 1/4 cup alfalfa 
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews or macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 edible flowers
  • 1-2 tablespoons raisins
  • pinch ground pepper
  • Honey dijon dressing
