Raw Candied Apples
A raw nutritious treat to start welcoming the holidays.
- 4 apples of choice
- 1 cup medjool dates, pits removed
- 1/4 cup nut butter of choice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup, grade B
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional flavors: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, lucuma or raw cacao powder to taste
- Optional toppings: nuts, shredded coconut, chocolate syrup, etc.
- Combine dates, nut butter, maple syrup and flavor in food processor and blend until paste forms
- Spread mixture over apples
- Roll apple in your favorite toppings
- Place in freezer for 10-20 minutes
