Apple Gummies

When we first went off corn and sugar one of the biggest things I was surprised about was not being able to find gummies for the kids. They loved those things so I set off to figure out some that they could have that would be full of good nutrients. If you've been following me for a while then you already know how much we love apples, so the kids loved these apple gummies. They have fun helping make them too. Best thing about these is you should eat them up too, great for having healthy hair, skin and nails. You can also use food coloring to make them different colors (sorry I don't have any recommendations for more natural ones) and you can use fancy molds to makes them into different shapes. Since we've been trying to go more and more minimalist I haven't wanted to buy a mold that I'd only use for making gummies so we just put ours in a square glassware container and then cut them into cubes. they kids don't seem to mind, so t works for me. Plus then you don't need any fancy equipment to make them.


  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup grass fed gelatin, like this one 
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons lemon juice, about one small lemon
  • 1/2 cup room temperature water
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • Pinch of sea salt


  • Lightly grease your molds or pan and set aside
  • In a medium size mixing bowl combine the apple juice, apples sauce, honey, lemon juice and salt, set aside
  • In a small bowl combine gelatin and room temperature water with a fork, slowly add the boiling water making sure to mix all the clumps out
  • Pour gelatin mix into apple juice bowl, stir well
  • Pour into your molds or pan and leave covered in the the fridge for at least 1-2 hours or over night. If you’re impatient like me then you can put in the freezer for about 30-40 minutes, enjoy then store in the fridge. Trust me don’t store it in the freezer unless you want gummy ice cubes.
