Apple Chard Smoothie

We just couldn't resist adding just one more apple recipe!

There are some fruits and veggies that I'm glad are just around for a season, but I could (and sometimes do) eat an apple a day. I love how they're crisp and a bit sour and a bit sweet (depending on the variety). Plus, there are so many ways of preparing them. Maybe I'm overdoing this whole apple craze but I've been really wanting to create 365 apple recipes so I could literally have a differently prepped apple every day. Don't worry I'm not going to start only dishing out apple recipes from here on out, promise. There are way too many other tasty goodnesses out there! But for everyone else out there who is also a bit apple obsessed here's an extra recipe for our fall apple series!

Ingredients

  • 1 fuji apple, cored and sliced
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen mangos
  • Handful of rainbow chard
  • Handful of spinach
  • Small handful of baby kale
  • 1-2 cups apple juice
  • 3/4-1 cup water

Steps

  • Combine everything in the blender and blend until smooth
